I never heard about the plastic comparison until you mentioned it. Hmm. Well, I usually don't get tapioca anymore (have had too much in my lifetime, I'm tired of it). I either go bobaless or swap for red bean or jelly. Bubble tea is already unhealthy enough as it is. For boba to be harmful is just...eh. x__x

This news was all fenzy all over asia right before I went back. A lot of recalls on food from Taiwan was made. Even while I was in HK people were still talking about it and shy-ed away from boba.
